International Relations Office staff, Souphanouvong University, attended training on services offered by International Relations Offices. The training was virtually held by the University of Bologna, Italy, on 24th, 26th, 30th and 31st May 2022 under the OPEN-ing Laos Higher Education to Internationalisation Strategies project, which is a capacity building project for International Relations Offices of higher education institutions in Lao PDR, supported by the ERASMUS+ programme.
The main aim of the training was to share practices and organisational models from universities in the European Union countries in the implementation of services that are offered by International Relations Offices.
The topics of the training entailed the Bologna Process and the European Union Credit Transfer System Guide, services for international students, and services for outgoing mobility. In the training the participants learned:
- How to recruit international students;
- How to promote university international courses offered;
- How to assess and recognise international qualifications;
- To welcome international students, mainly supporting services and financial aids for international students;
- How to classify mobility schemes;
- Main funding schemes and different management 
models; 

- How to support students before, during and at the end of their mobility period.
